We recently had the opportunity to taste David’s wines over a fun dinner with friends and immediately asked if he would be a Guest Winemaker. His tiny production Pinot Noirs are spectacular - all made from Pommard fruit from some of the Valley’s top vineyards.

In David’s words: “SchcneTal Cellars pays tribute to our family's German heritage and our journey here to the Willamette Valley. After my wife and I married we settled down in McMinnville, Oregon where we had four beautiful children. Our life has blossomed here, for many reasons, but the wholesome people, captivating landscapes and the undeniable culture of wine and food is what's kept us here for so many years.

​His approach to wine-making is simple, fermentation occurs naturally in nature and that's exactly how he keeps it in the cellar. Letting the grapes reveal their natural beauty and balance from the surrounding terroir is what makes his wines recognizable.
